Independent Financial Planner - Based near Reading - Office Based Role - Up to £85k + bonuses - OTE £100K in Year 1

My client, who I have placed 8 staff with are an independent wealth planning practice with offices the M4 corridor who have been operating for over 10 years. have an excellent reputation providing the highest levels of financial advice to HNW City professionals, retirees, accumulators and families across Kent, Sussex & London. They are a very entrepreneurial business with ambitious but realistic plans for growth. The Directors have a 5-year plan to double the staff count and AUM via organic means. They have no interest in gaining external investment or joining large wealth management network. They prefer to operate wholly independently and believe it is not in their clients’ best interest to join a consolidator business. They have a highly experienced team of administrators, paraplanners, personal assistants and operations staff who support the advisers and are all either qualified or part qualified towards their level 4 qualification.

I am speaking directly to the Directors. Business is busier than ever with a growing number of new queries coming into their inboxes through referrals and recommendations and therefore do not need to do any marketing activities. A large proportion of the advice they are giving is across Pensions, Investments, Estate Planning & IHT planning. However, they do get involved in trust planning, power of attorney and will writing. They have good links to accountancy and solicitor firms and are broadening their network of contacts to expand their reach locally. Their highest net worth clients do get involved in more complex products and wealth structuring such as VCT’s, EIS’s and business relief.

As a result of this ongoing success, a brand-new vacancy has been created by the Directors for a Financial Planner who can take on a new opportunity with plenty of earning potential. The MD has an abundance of leads and recommendations/referrals in his inbox which he hasn’t touched yet and he wants to pass this all onto the new adviser to convert into new business. The role will be to conduct the initial client meetings, onboard them with the help of the support team and then manage their ongoing needs and conduct annual reviews.
