Tezlom is an exciting agency to work for, we provide HEALTH CARE ASSISTANTS & SUPPORT WORKERS Flexible shifts (Short Days/Long Days/Nights/Weekends) and the option to choose which days you would like to work, giving you the freedom and flexibility to work as much or as little as you like!

We are Recruiting for independent support worker /Activity Coordinator in Ealing.

Successful candidates will be expected to work across our range of support services for adults and children, delivering person-centred training and supported activities to enable people to achieve their goals. Each day will be different, and candidates will enjoy using their teaching/coaching skills daily in a range of community settings, working on both a 1:1 and group basis.

Shift Timings/Hrs:

Mon-Sun

8:00-14:00

14:00-20:00

35 Hrs/Week

Criteria

  • Ideally qualified to degree level or NVQ 4 with minimum requirement of GCSE (or equivalent) grade C and above in both English and Maths. We will fund all staff to gain their NVQ4.
  • Solid IT competency using Google, word, database systems and other technology in the workplace
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt to meet individual’s needs
  • Able to plan and organise workload effectively and according to achieve agreed priorities and targets
  • Experience of working collaboratively with colleagues and external partners to maximise the impact of service provisions
  • Passion for ensuring the people we support are actively involved in expressing their views and making decisions about the way services are delivered and develop
  • Understanding, knowledge and empathy of the challenges faced by people with learning disabilities in everyday life
  • Able to identify, communicate and implement new ideas to improve services and activities based on feedback from the people we support and own initiative
  • Able to manage and resolve conflict with diplomacy and to deal with challenging situations and behaviours
  • Experience and understanding of recording, monitoring, evaluating and reporting data
  • Understanding of safeguarding, preventing abuse and positive risk- taking approaches and a willingness to provide personal care to people within your care; as and when required and in a dignified manner
  • Experience of designing, planning and delivering training activity programmes that achieve desired outcomes
  • Selfless, passionate, creative, engaging, welcoming and willing to learn
  • Responsible for self and others, presenting a professional approach and at all ensuring the well-being of vulnerable people and organisational reputation
