Our client is a well-known renewable energy developer with a proven track record of developing and building renewables project across the globe. They develop, build, own, and operate Renewable projects globally and work across several technologies (Solar PV, BESS, Wind, and Hydro).

This client is looking for a legal professional with 4 + years of experience PQE to join a settled team and assist with a broad range of legal advice. This role will entail you working closely with other members of the legal team. This role has been created to support an increased growth of renewable energy projects, in line with our growth strategy, including onshore wind, battery storage, and solar across the UK and Ireland and an increased number of corporate sale transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

You'll focus primarily on property/ land work and some aspects of planning to include transactional work on major projects, you'll also support project sales and be heavily involved in approvals of documentation being dealt with by external solicitors. In addition, you will be providing general legal and commercial advice as well as dealing with property and planning issues specific to the renewable energy industry on a wide variety of renewable energy projects.

Knowledge you require:

· Renewable energy or large infrastructure project development

· Demonstrates initiative and has a constructive attitude.

· Diligent with attention to detail

· Excellent communicator with the ability to build rapport and work alongside a range of commercial and technical personnel.

Experience and qualifications required:

· Post qualification experience in property and ideally also in planning

· General experience in other areas of law would be beneficial although not essential

· Commercial awareness

· Dual-qualification (qualified in both Scotland and in England & Wales) would be beneficial as work is cross-border, otherwise a willingness to become dual-qualified
