Part Time, 18.5 hours per week

£11,851 per annum (£23,702 pro rata)

Who are we looking for?

We have an exciting and unique opportunity to recruit an Immersive and Clinical Skills Technician to join the recently expanded Health and Social Care curriculum facilities.

In this role, you will support and set up the daily technical elements of all courses using a range of equipment and supplies for clinical skills and simulation teaching. The equipment range will include human patient simulators, computer-based simulators, and appropriate medical and surgical equipment. A knowledge of Ares simulation manikins, HoloLens and CAE software would be desirable; however training is available.

You will be required to provide high-level support and demonstrations to the curriculum teaching team and have technical knowledge of equipment used in healthcare and simulation-based education. The role will include ordering of consumables, maintenance and monitoring of equipment. This will also include ensuring compliance with Health and Safety requirements of equipment and substances hazardous to health (COSHH).

Ideally you will have experience of working within a clinical setting, and have experience or a qualification relevant to the role at Level 3 or above. You will have excellent time management and organisation skills and be able to communicate effectively across a range of staff and stakeholders.

Applicants should be qualified to, or willing to work towards, Level 2 English and Maths. Evidence of qualifications is required.
