Part-Time Humanities Teacher Position
Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Humanities Teacher to join our team on a part-time basis. As a Humanities Teacher, you will inspire and educate students in the fields of history, geography, literature, and social studies. Your role will be crucial in fostering critical thinking, cultural awareness, and a love for learning.
Responsibilities- Deliver Engaging Lessons: Plan and execute dynamic lessons that encourage student participation and promote a deep understanding of humanities subjects.
- Curriculum Development: Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the humanities curriculum, ensuring alignment with educational standards.
- Assessment and Feedback: Assess student progress through assignments, quizzes, and exams. Provide constructive feedback to help students improve.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Student Support: Offer additional support to students who need it, whether through tutoring or personalized guidance.
- Professional Development: Stay informed about educational trends, attend workshops, and continuously improve your teaching skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Humanities, or a related field.
- Teaching certification (preferred but not mandatory).
- Experience teaching humanities subjects at the secondary level.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for fostering intellectual curiosity and critical thinking.
- Contract Type: Part-time (2 days per week) on a supply basis.
- Start Date: Immediate.
- Location: Maidstone
- Salary: £130-180 per day
