Human Resources Business Partner

£45,000 - 53,000 per annum

Burman are supporting a public sector client appoint a dedicated and experienced HR Business Partner. As an HR Business Partner, you will play a vital role in fostering a positive work environment, implementing strategic HR initiatives, and supporting the achievement of organisational goals. This position requires a deep understanding of HR principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic HR Planning:

  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the organisation's goals and objectives. Provide insights and recommendations on workforce planning, talent management, and organisational development.

Employee Relations:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on HR-related matters, including performance management, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions. Ensure compliance with labour laws, regulations, and organisational policies.

Talent Acquisition and Retention:

  • Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies to attract and retain top talent. Conduct interviews, participate in candidate selection, and facilitate the onboarding process.

Training and Development:

  • Design and deliver training programs to enhance employee skills, knowledge, and performance. Identify learning needs, evaluate training effectiveness, and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.

HR Policy Development:

  • Review, update, and communicate HR policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance across the organisation. Provide guidance to managers and employees on policy interpretation and implementation.

Performance Management:

  • Oversee the performance appraisal process, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and feedback mechanisms. Work closely with managers to address performance issues and develop performance improvement plans as needed.

HR Metrics and Reporting:

  • Compile and analyse HR data to track key performance indicators, trends, and metrics. Prepare regular reports and presentations for management review, highlighting areas for improvement and actionable insights.

Change Management:

  • Support organisational change initiatives by providing guidance, communication plans, and training resources to employees and managers. Help facilitate smooth transitions and minimise disruptions during periods of change.
