The Role

The role will be based in Bristol; however you will be required to travel sites across the UK. The role will suit someone with a keen eye for detail as you will be producing technical documentation.

  • Manage the risk assessment programme, including conducting risk assessments to eliminate and reduce risk wherever possible.
  • Develop safe systems of work for tasks and processes.
  • Manage COSHH assessments and ensure essential information is communicated to colleagues.
  • Maintain production and technical documentation as required.
  • Maintain all health and safety and quality records and ensure they are accurate.
  • Manage HSQE compliance with site management team, including compliance with all health and safety regulations.
  • Manage Safe Contractor (Alumnus) Audit and yearly accreditation process.
  • Support Environmental 14001 Audit process.
  • Work closely with the site management team and colleagues to prioritise and manage actions identified through risk assessments, accidents, hazard/ near miss reporting, safety for life conversations and monitoring audits.
  • Ensure plant handover checklists are completed following installation of new or used work equipment.
  • Outline safe operational procedures which identify and consider all relevant hazards.
  • Support and ensure adequate induction training and information with regards to HSQE is provided to all new starters.
  • Manage Fire Alarm weekly testing with Maintenance team.
  • Conduct periodic safety inspections and safety audits to identify any unsafe conditions or acts, report to the management team on the findings of such inspections and make recommendations for remedying any defects found, e.g., Housekeeping, Safety and Environmental Audits.
