HSEQ Advisor - Commercial, Education, Healthcare and Data Centre projects - based in Cambridge

A market leading national Building Services Contractor is currently recruiting for a HSEQ Advisor to be based from their Cambridge office working on projects across Cambridgeshire and Oxford. This is an exciting opportunity join an expanding office for a well-established business. 

They offer a comprehensive electrical and mechanical installation service across many sectors including Education, Health, Commercial, Industrial, Data Centres and Retail. As the HSEQ Advisor you will monitor and improve HSEQ standards, collect data, and advise site management, supervision and supply chain in all aspects of HSEQ at work.

As the HSEQ Advisor you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Carry out regular, planned HSEQ inspections and audits.
  • Collate daily, weekly and Monthly data for monthly dashboards.
  • Chair and attend Project HSEQ meetings and committees as agreed with the project teams, liaise with Client, Principal Designer, Project teams about project HSEQ requirements.
  • Produce comprehensive audit reports inclusive of recommendations for improvement and verify that corrective and preventive action has been taken.
  • Support external, internal audits (ISO 9001/14001/45001)
  • Manage the project accident, incident investigation process through to lessons learnt with effective communication.
  • Build relationships internally with project teams and externally with client, Principal Designer and other stakeholders.
  • Any other duties associated with the role as directed by Head of HSEQ.

Successful applicants will have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Mechanical / Electrical contracting experience.
  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent qualification to a minimum of Level 3. 
  • Accident, Incident Investigation.
  • Great communication and engagement skills.
  • Previous experience working within a fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Computer and IT literate.
