Job Title: Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Manager - Manufacturing

Salary: £46,000

Location: Near Sheffield

Join this exciting manufacturing organisation as a Health, Safety & Environmental Manager in a permanent, Monday to Friday days-based role. As a key member of our team, you will oversee the implementation and monitoring of our safety management systems, ensuring compliance with regulations and fostering a culture of safety excellence. Your responsibilities will include line management of the HSE Advisor and collaborating with HR to identify and address training needs. Other duties for the HSE Manager will include:

•          Provide advice and assistance to the management team to help them achieve their responsibilities, identify hazards, and eliminate and control risks.

•          Advise management on how to implement a suitable and effective site audit programme and undertake site audits of the safety management system to ensure it remains effective.

•          Keep up to date with new HSE legislation, company and other environmental and safety information and brief the management team accordingly.

This role is suited to someone who is passionate about health and safety and will champion energy efficiency and environmental activities.

Requirements for the Health and Safety Manager:

•          Previous experience as a Health and Safety Manager within a manufacturing setting

•          NEBOSH / CMIOSH qualification

•          Demonstrated expertise in health and safety protocols

•          Passion for championing energy efficiency and environmental initiatives
