Company: Iconic Food Manufacturing Company
Role: Health Safety and Environmental Administrator
Location: Leominster – Small single site
Salary: £26,500 – £30,000 per annum + Bonus + impressive benefits.

If so, this is an exciting opportunity to take your first step into a HSE role and receive the training and support needed to excel.

Seeking a junior HSE professional who is passionate, caring and engaging in their approach. Able to support the site with positive mindset, problem solve, support projects, and nourish effective, positive culture and behaviours. The successful candidate will be well supported on site and from the wider organisation.

Main responsibilities:-

  • Support the HSE Lead in ensuring Health & Safety and Environmental processes and procedures are followed on a day-to-day basis and supporting and coaching colleagues on site.
  • Be approachable and visible across the site, offering support and HSE guidance
  • Exposure to support and in the future lead interesting and diverse projects which will improve safety and behaviours at the site.
  • Supporting the implementation of company Health Safety and Environment (HSE) policy and embedding ISO requirements
  • Support the preparation and present HSE Data /presentations as required to Safety Committee and Site Leadership Team
  • Working with the site HSE Lead to support the management of Employee Liability claims in conjunction with Employee Health and Wellbeing and Insurers
  • Support the internal Health, Safety, Environmental and Energy audits to ensure legal compliance
  • To support the completion of risk assessments, accident and incident investigation process
  • Support the site HSE Lead with the regulatory authorities
  • Liaise with external stakeholders and Insurers on key matters
  • Support production of risk assessments and development of safe systems of work.
  • The role requires deputising for the site HSE Lead and is an ideal platform to develop the skills and competencies needed to grow into the next site HSE Lead role / open the door to other roles in the wider company or group.

Experience, training and qualifications:
  • IOSH Managing Safely, or preferably NEBOSH Certificate – if not, there is training on offer
  • Prior fast paced production/manufacturing experience is essential, ideally in the food or drink manufacturing sector or would accept distribution, logistics and wider production if relevant.
