Liberty has an exciting opportunity for a Health, Safety & Environmental Manager to join our team, based in our Head Office, Knowsley. The HS&E Manager role offers agile working, permitting you to work from your home address or at a location that suits your needs and those of the business. You will however need to be within a reasonable commutable distance from the office for training and meetings as and when required.  You will be working on a full-time, permanent basis, working 40 hours per week and in return, you will receive a competitive salary Plus Company Car & Excellent Benefits!

Liberty is a specialist heating services provider to public, domestic and commercial clients across the UK. Established in 1969, we offer professional gas installation, maintenance and servicing, as well as energy solutions, electrical installations and property building and maintenance services.

Joining Liberty as an HS&E Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day management of risk and compliance of our Repairs and Maintenance business (England/Wales) within a mainly domestic environment.

This position would suit a HS&E Manager/Advisor looking for the next step in their career, taking ownership and responsibility for a specific business unit, in a diverse and dynamic working environment. 

Responsibilities for this HS&E Manager (H&C) are:

Key role within the HSEQ Team, you could be responsible for ensuring the provision of competent advice to a multi-disciplined business environment including M&E and construction related repair and maintenance services to Social Housing and Local Authority Clients

Ensure sound health, safety and environmental practices are identified, documented, understood and compiled throughout the organisation

Support the Liberty Group in its aim to exceed its statutory and contractual obligations in managing all HSEQ aspects across a diverse risk landscape

Provide support to the Director of HSEQ and Operational Teams, in all areas relating to health, safety and environment and specifically, have responsibility for the Liberty H&C business unit within Liberty Group

What we are looking for in our ideal HS&E Manager (H&C):

Domestic gas fired heating installation, repairs and maintenance (including renewable energy) domestic electrical installation repairs and maintenance

Fire safety management, construction safety management and environmental management experience would be beneficial as would forma related qualifications

NEBOSH General/ Construction is mandatory and a level 5/6 health, safety and environmental related qualification would be preferred, however we do ask that candidates are willing to become a more founded HSEQ Manager. Training will be provided in weaker areas, for the right candidate.

With proven experience in a similar role and fully conversant with Integrated Management Systems and ISO standards 45001/14001/9001 the successful candidate will be Grad IOSH Level qualified as a minimum and be capable and willing to achieve CMIOSH.
