About the Role

We now have an opportunity for an HR Systems and Payroll Advisor to join our HR team to have responsibility for both the maintenance, improvement and development of the HR system as well as processing the monthly payroll for over 800 employees at Diamond.

The HR Systems aspect of the role involves acting as the systems administrator for the HR system (Civica), along with production of HR data, reports, and other system analytics. This will include:

· Leading and implementing system development programmes, testing software updates for upgrades and fixes as well as completing documentation, providing guidance and overseeing delivery.

· System set-up, maintenance, and continuous improvement.

· Resolving technical issues and being the key point of contact.

· Building, producing, maintaining and supporting reports on HR, payroll and related financial data to facilitate management decision making, and as required by various other stakeholders.

· Managing the core people data.

· Being the key point of contact for the internal auditors on HR audits.

· Assisting in the compilation of year-end payroll data ensuring it is accurate and providing information for the annual Statutory Accounts, DSIT and external auditors.

· Creating and maintaining user guides for both staff and the HR team.

· Management of the holiday year end process.

The payroll aspect of the role involves working closely with the Payroll and Systems Manager to:

· Calculate and input information into the payroll system.

· Run the payroll on a monthly basis in compliance with government legislation, pension scheme regulations, and Company policies and procedures, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data.

· Be the main point of contact for payroll enquiries, providing information and guidance in line with Company guidelines.

· Ensure submissions to HMRC (Real Time Information) ensuring accurate and timely reporting.

· Carry out production and submission of remittance reports.

· Administer employee benefits.

· Review annual childcare assessments, recording, and approving the monthly childcare invoices.

· Support with the annual pay remit.

About You

You will have had experience in an HR environment including HR system administration activity, along with using and manipulating HRIS and Payroll software, and experience of running monthly payroll and all associated activity.

Your experience will include providing support, advice, and guidance to managers on payroll and HR matters, with a general understanding of employment law, GDPR and HR policies and principles.

You will also demonstrate working knowledge of pensions requirements.

You will have proven IT skills in the use of Microsoft software and computerised HR and payroll systems, along with excellent numerical skills and strong attention to detail, with the ability to manipulate data and produce reports.

You will display excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have a strong customer focus.
