HR/Payroll Systems Administrator

A leading transportation company based in Southampton are looking for a HR and Payroll Systems Administrator to join them for an ASAP start. The role will last for 6 to 9 months.

The ideal candidate will come from an HR, Payroll of Finance background. No previous experience of working with systems implementations is required as full training will be provided.

The company is implementing the PeopleXD HR and Payroll system and they are looking for an administrator to join their systems project team. The systems implementation is expected to take 6 to 9 months which will be the length of this role while working on the project.

This role will primarily focus on the ongoing governance and maintenance of the PeopleXD system. Along with supporting implementations and development of additional functionality, this role is the first point of contact for the business in relation to system access, system changes, reporting and queries.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide front line support and training to end users of the PeopleXD System
  • Trouble shooting basic issues and escalating more complex issues as appropriate
  • Maintaining the People XD system, specifically contributing to data integrity and system upgrades
  • Providing system reports within agreed timescales
  • Maintain internal database files and tables and develops custom reports to meet the requirements of the wider group
  • Performing data imports and exports into the system
  • Provide an escalation point for resolution of queries
  • Provide customer service, each query is assigned a priority level and aimed to be closed within the agreed deadline.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience working within either a payroll, workforce management or HR people function, 1 year minimum.
  • Experience of working with cloud-based systems would be desirable but not essential
  • Computer literate, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook, Office 365 and MS Teams.
  • Develops and maintains positive working relationships with others, a team player.
  • Shares ideas and information.
  • Accurate, detailed and thorough approach to work.
  • Able to work under pressure, self-motivated - driven to achieve results.
