Exciting Opportunity as a HR & Payroll Administrator!

Are you an experienced HR professional looking for a new challenge in the Education industry? Our client, is seeking a talented HR & Payroll Administrator to join their team in Rochester.

JOB TITLE: HR & Payroll Administrator
LOCATION: Rochester
SALARY: £13.00 - £14.00 per hour

TERM: Temporary with the opportunity to go permanent
HOURS: Monday - Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm (40 hours per week)

As the HR & Payroll Administrator, you'll play a crucial role in supporting the HR function within the organisation. Your main responsibilities will include HR admin processing, running DBS checks, onboarding new starters, and eventually getting involved in HR meetings. There may also be some minute taking involved. While the payroll duties will be split with another team member, you will still have the chance to contribute your payroll skills and knowledge.


The day to day duties in your new job would be:

  • Supporting the efficient functioning of their team
  • Collaborate with the HR Manager to handle all aspects of HR administration including onboarding, employee record management, and payroll processing
  • Support their recruitment process by managing job postings and scheduling interviews
  • Utilise your exceptional attention to detail to accurately maintain and update employee data and records
  • Prepare and distribute HR-related documents such as contracts, policies, and employee handbooks
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation and best practises
  • Provide exceptional customer service and act as the first point of contact for HR-related inquiries
  • Run DBS checks

  • Proven experience working within a similar role
  • Proficient IT skills in Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to convey information clearly and accurately both orally and in writing
  • Systematic and thorough working approach with the ability to work independently
  • Immediately availability and happy to commit to a temporary position
