A market-leading business has partnered with the team at NET Recruit, to assist them in their search for an HR Officer to join their growing team located in the Poole area. With plenty of prior success, this business is embarking on significant growth plans in the next couple of years, expanding many of their core functions and customer offerings.

This position will support the core function of the business, developing key policies and working with managers across the business to implement these. Alongside this, much of the role will be focussed on recruitment and staffing needs, as well as training and development. The job holder will also be supporting on grievances and disciplinaries, thus giving a holistic view of the HR function and allowing for valuable skills and knowledge to be gained with this business.

Your Role and Responsibilities
While in this position your duties may include but are not limited to:
  • Developing policies, in collaboration with a variety of stakeholders, centred on working conditions, performance, equal opportunities, disciplinary procedures and absences, that align with business objectives
  • Overseeing and taking a hand in the application process
  • Managing the recruitment processes,, developing long term staffing strategies including verifying candidate eligibility and leading retention initiatives of the staff across the business
  • Planning and when needed, conducting training and onboarding sessions for staff
  • Working closely with senior HR employees on remuneration schemes and compensation structures for the business
  • Initiating salary reviews periodically
  • Overseeing the redundancy process across the business in collaboration with line managers
  • Creating and maintaining staff handbooks
  • Supervising payroll processes and effectively managing employee records and information
  • Supporting on disciplinary and grievance processes, ensuring these are conducted within the guidelines

What you will need to Apply:
This company are looking to hear from experienced HR professionals, preferably at CIPD Level 3 or above, with ideally experience gained from within the automotive industry. Excellent organisational skills are paramount to success in this role, alongside good attention to detail, the ability to analyse and interpret data and a proactive attitude. Exquisite communication skills are a must, alongside negotiating abilities and stakeholder management. Competency in IT and systems is also desired in this position.
