A super successful and impressive professional services firm is looking for a HR manager to join its entrepreneurial group of businesses.

Reporting to the board, this stand alone HR role will deliver an operational HR service to the business, whilst also working closely with the Directors to build HR initiatives that will help the business reach its commercial goals.

The business does not have 100’s of employees, but it has a busy operational HR workload to get stuck into - it is a role that will be busy operationally and one that will allow someone to make their mark and make a difference in the people space for the firm.

Based in Central London the firm has beautiful offices that are central to its offering to its clients. They work hard to make this working environment appealing and a brilliant place to be - they are looking for a HR manager who will help to build that engagement even further.

So, what will a working week look like? Varied is the answer. You will be the one ensuring that policies and procedures are up to date and in place, you will be managing people queries and ER issues, you will be helping the business to recruit and be managing relationships with suppliers such as trainers and systems. You will also be working on projects, and when you can, working pro-actively to drive new initiatives in the people space. As business as usual and a continuous flow you will also be keeping on top of the admin that comes into a department - contract issuing, monitoring sickness and absence, reporting to the board etc.

The role will suit a HR professional who is looking for a stand-alone role and enjoys roles that work operationally. The business would like to hire someone who has experience of professional services environments. The role could suit a Senior HR Advisor or HRBP who is looking for autonomy. It could also suit a current standalone HR manager who is looking to be part of a business that has growth plans.

It is expected that applicants will be CIPD qualified and without surprise is also expected that applicants will have experience of working for / within SME’s.
