HR Manager needed in Portsmouth Paying  £20.57 per hr ref 5247205

Full time hours on a temporary basis

 This role will involve:

  • The HR service provides a full range of HR and Organisational Development functions to the employees and a range of external clients.

  • As HR Manager you will work directly with a range of departments, developing HR solutions in respect of the business needs of the departments.

  • This role will be part of our HR team and has been designed to enable you to develop the skills and experience needed to operate successfully and independently as a HR Manager.

  • You will have the opportunity to work with directors and other senior managers in service departments honing your skills to support the wider transformational agenda.

  • An understanding of the principles of change management and how these can be applied to achieve successful outcomes, with evidence of having done so at an operational level.

  • Have a relevant HR qualification and be a member of the CIPD.

  • with experience of working at a Managerial HR level, with the ability to quickly attain the trust and confidence of others and work effectively as a team player

  • That you have extensive experience and knowledge of HR practice and employment law and have a track record of having worked successfully with trade unions.

  • That you possess negotiation skills with the ability to effectively influence your audience to a positive outcome.

  • That you have a solid business & financial understanding that will allow you to function at any level, bringing value to the decision making process.

  • That you can build relationships 

  • That you have a self-belief that inspires others around you in the value of HR and the value that you and HR can bring in driving effective business results

  • That you have independence and are confident to stand alone, and express your own views even if unpopular or confrontational and manage the process of common understanding and agreement which results in strong, equal and challenging relationships.

  • That you have a broad set of Consultancy skills that are solution focussed including expert net-worker, a strategic thinker (with the ability to communicate and lead at a strategic level), leadership in change and behaviour, influencing and a political awareness.
