The Role

This is a stand-alone HR Manager role with full responsibility for all aspects of HR in this busy, dynamic manufacturing plant. The successful candidate will be part of the site management team and will play a key role in ensuring that the people agenda is structured to and delivering against the business agenda. This is a true generalist role and will appeal to someone who likes to be fully involved in the business on a day to day basis. He/she will also be part of the ROI HR team along with the HR Managers of our three other plants in Ireland.

This role offers the opportunity to shape the HR agenda as well as deliver it.

We are looking for someone who has a solid foundation of generalist HR experience, preferably gained in a manufacturing environment, but we are also open to applications from people who have worked with hourly paid staff (retail, hospitality, etc).

Ribworld was founded in 2003 and was a family run business until it became part of the Sofina Foods Group two years ago. Now Europe’s largest sous-vide specialist, we produce a wide range of exciting products from cooked ribs, to Beef Bourgignon to retail and bulk shredded meats. We employ 200 people in an 8,500sqm purpose built facility in the agricultural heartland of Fethard, Co Tipperary.

Our story is one of growth and innovation and we are now looking for a dynamic HR Manager to support us in that continued growth.

Key Accountabilities

• Deliver the local and corporate HR agenda in a timely, efficient and professional manner, ensuring they provide consistent and coordinated end-to-end HR services across all areas of responsibility and act as a point of escalation for the team.
• Driving the organisations culture and behaviours, and applying its mission, vision and values in all activities.
• The development and delivery of HR strategy, policies and practices, reflecting both up to date employment law and best practice.
• Execute the Learning & Development agenda.
• Drive change management and provide transformation expertise to meet business changes, to include delivering key HR projects as required.
• Focus on Talent Development and Planning, creating succession plans, development plans, gap analysis for critical roles.
• Oversee the effective management and resolution of all employee relations issues, in accordance with employment legislation, company policies and best practice.
• Drive the employee engagement strategy.
• Preparing and reporting key HR metrics and analytics.

Skills and Experience Required

• A Degree in HR or related discipline, with CIPD qualification desirable.
• Minimum 2 years’ in a role as HR Generalist/ HR Advisor role.
• An excellent practical knowledge of Irish employment legislation, policies, procedures in line with recommended codes of practice.
• Be approachable, personable and energetic with the highest standard of integrity. A people person with a growth mind-set, always willing to listen, assist and support.
• Attention to detail, commercial awareness with a pragmatic approach to problem solving.
• A passion for helping people by coaching, mentoring, supporting the business units and management teams.
• Excellent proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
