My client in Plymouth is looking for a HR onboarding co-ordinator to join their team.

Primary Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Manage the onboarding process for new employees, from candidate selection to start date, in collaboration with our Client Vetting Team and client, who are responsible for the Screening & Vetting process.
  • Collaborate with local job centres, agencies, and the internal careers team to advertise roles based on operational requirements.
  • Assist candidates with the completion of Security Clearance forms (BPSS) and actively manage the resource pipeline.
  • Serve as the primary contact for all HR-related inquiries on site and direct them to the onsite HR Business Partner or Operational team member as needed.
  • Handle the processing of weekly starters and leavers, issue relevant letters, and maintain HR System and filing records.
  • Oversee HR-related documentation, including new starter packs and employment contracts, ensuring accurate maintenance of personal records, pension, vehicle, life assurance, right to work, and equal opportunity documents.
  • Ensure the HR & Payroll System is accurately maintained and complies with current legislation.
  • Keep employee E-Files up-to-date.
  • Manage sickness records while maintaining confidentiality, and report any long-term absences to the appropriate HR team member.
  • Arrange and assist with note-taking for formal and informal meetings such as disciplinary & grievance, and produce the corresponding outcome letter for the employee, following the Company’s Policy & Procedure.
  • Support recruitment and selection on site for weekly and monthly paid positions, including managing the job requisition process on the HR System.
  • Assist with interviews and issue relevant correspondence promptly.
  • Collaborate with the wider HR team to ensure efficient delivery of HR Services to the business.
  • Coordinate with the Training Department to schedule new hires for relevant mandatory training.
  • Handle recruitment and selection of weekly paid staff, ensuring efficient coordination of relevant departments and prompt issuance of employment offers. Assist with miscellaneous projects as needed. Uphold the business and company ethos at all times.
