HR Coordinator
  • Annual Salary: Up to £25,000 per annum

My client is seeking a dedicated HR Coordinator to join the team, providing customer-focused, comprehensive, and pragmatic HR advice and support. This role is essential for the smooth running of our HR Service, aligning with our policies, procedures, and legal requirements. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the delivery of our HR plan to meet strategic objectives.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Provide support, advice, and guidance on employment and employee relations matters, ensuring adherence to HR policies and procedures.
  • Act as a trusted point of contact for managers and staff, developing collaborative relationships and establishing professional credibility.
  • Coordinate recruitment and selection processes, including job descriptions, advertisements, interviews, and liaising with agencies.
  • Prepare and issue contractual documentation for appointments, terminations, and employment variations, ensuring accurate payroll communication.
  • Manage new starter inductions and liaise with managers for timely delivery.
  • Support employee relations processes such as absence management, disciplinary and grievance casework, and compliance with legislation and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain performance management systems and processes, preparing reports and ensuring organisational compliance.
  • Maintain and update HR and Payroll information systems with accurate personal and employment data.
  • Assist with HR-related training development and delivery, including system user guides.
  • Support HR or organisational projects, change management programmes, and working groups as required.
  • Stay updated with employment legislation and HR best practices, sharing knowledge within the team.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • CIPD Level 3 or willingness to obtain within 12 months of appointment.
  • Good standard of education (A level or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of employment law and HR systems - Desirable
  • Experience in an HR role at Assistant level or above - Desirable 
  • Experience in providing first-level HR advice and end-to-end recruitment support - Desirable 
  • Proficiency in using an HRIS and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel - Desirable 
  • Excellent communication, organisational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team, maintain confidentiality, and prioritise effectively under tight deadlines.
