HR Coordinator
  • Contract: 6-month Fixed Term Contract (FTC)
  • Annual Salary: Up to £28,000

We are on the lookout for a proactive HR Coordinator to join my client's team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This hybrid role, based in Kent, is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a solid foundation in HR practices, including experience or interest in TUPE (Transfer of Undertakings Protection of Employment) projects. The HR Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting our HR department with administrative tasks, coordinating HR processes, and ensuring the smooth running of the HR function.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Assist with the recruitment process, including candidate selection, reference checks, and issuing employment contracts.
  • Support the onboarding process for new hires and coordinate induction sessions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in compliance with legal requirements.
  • Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance.
  • Update HR databases with information such as new hires, terminations, sick leaves, warnings, and vacation.
  • Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data.
  • Prepare paperwork for HR policies and procedures.
  • Process employee requests and provide relevant information.
  • Collaborate with the recruitment team to post job ads and process resumes.
  • Manage the department’s telephone center and address queries accordingly.
  • Participate in HR projects, including assisting with the TUPE project and ensuring a smooth transition and compliance with regulations.
  • Organize and help facilitate job fair events and other HR initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as an HR Coordinator or in a relevant human resources/administrative position.
  • Familiarity with human resources processes and best practices, including knowledge of TUPE regulations.
  • Strong ability in using MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular).
  • Experience with HR databases and HRIS systems.
  • Ability to handle data with confidentiality.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • CIPD qualification is advantageous but not essential.
