HR Consultant

  • Job Type: Full-time temporary until 31st July 2024
  • Location: Blackburn
  • Salary: £15.00 - £19.00

I am seeking a HR Consultant to provide professional HR advice and guidance across a public sector organisation. The ideal candidate will work in partnership with internal and external stakeholders, developing relationships to understand the needs of the organisation and offer advice and support.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Deliver on all aspects of HR activity, including employee relations & engagement, statutory responsibilities, procedural advice, workforce development, and health, safety, and wellbeing.
  • Analyse recurring issues and develop strategies to reduce reactive casework.
  • Provide high-level complex case support and change activity, including dismissals and appeals.
  • Offer an excellent customer-focused service that meets SLAs and KPIs.
  • Act upon customer feedback to continuously improve the service.
  • Work closely with Trade Union colleagues to understand and reduce employee relations issues.
  • Engage with the workforce to help shape and influence organisational culture.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Professional qualification – minimum Level 5.
  • Experience in a large complex organisation with effective stakeholder communication.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Salary, Hours & Benefits

  • Salary £12.31 paid weekly!
  • Monday - Friday 09.00 – 17.00
  • Office based role
