HR Business Partners fulfill a client-facing role, involving playing an integral part in the employee relations area of an organisation, working at a strategic and an operational level, and driving business initiatives.

Client Advisory

Take the lead to deal with critical issues and problems as they arise for client projects and retained solutions that include: Absence management, Disciplinary & Grievances, Settlements & Exits, Dispute resolution, Mediation, Mergers & Acquisitions, Crisis Management, Employment Law, HR advice, Health & Safety, Strategy & Planning, Management, and Employee relations.

Strategy & Planning

  • Develop people strategies/plans that help drive business performance
  • Proactive support of the delivery of HR processes
  • Build strong relationships with key client contacts and their employees
  • Assess risk and identify gaps in employee relation processes
  • Facilitate the management and internal consultancy team to bring the best solutions for employee retention and development
  • Design key job positions and succession plans
  • Challenge organisational structure and actively design improvements
  • Review and audit client set up and roll out new tailored documents and procedures.
  • Manage sensitive employee, manager & team issues.
  • Build positive employee relations and navigate/plan for future change/issues.
  • Proactively review client tasks to provide suggestions for pro-active future-thinking projects to help stop issues, resolve problems and drive team collaboration..

Client Management

  • Key point of contact for high-level client queries.
  • Recommending solutions to help add better value for our clients.
  • Building relationships with key contacts across the teams
  • Running quarterly review meetings to keep things on track
  • Support and update the organisation on all employee relations matters
  • Work across business disciplines to lead and influence change at a strategic level
  • Head up the operational function within the HR department
  • Provide support and guidance for managers and staff on HR issues including employment legislation

Requirements:

  • CIPD qualified or equivalent HR/people related qualification or degree
  • Thorough working experience of resolving complex casework problems
  • Strong employee relations background
  • Great negotiation/mediation skills
  • Strong business acumen
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Collaborative, team-focused approach to all clients and day-to-day work.
  • Curiosity in the work that we do and the clients that we work with.

  • Demonstrable experience in an administrative professional environment.
  • Ideally some HR accreditation such as CIPD or Human Resources Management (looking to study, currently studying or successfully achieved)
