HR Business Partner - Leading University - London with hybrid working - c£55,000

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Business Partner to join one of London's leading universities.

Reporting into the Deputy Director of HR you will be responsible for supporting both academic and professional services management teams. Your key accountabilities will include:-

  • Acting as a trusted advisor to Heads of Department and Directors
  • Managing complex employee relations issues including disciplinaries and grievances
  • Building strong relations with trade unions
  • Supporting departments with workforce planning and advising on resourcing options
  • Coaching and upskilling managers on HR best practice
  • Working effectively with the broader HR team


You should be an experienced HR Business Partner with a track record of working in a complex environment ideally in the Higher Education or Not for Profit sectors. A strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice needs to be combined with a coaching mindset. Excellent stakeholder management skills are essential.
