The Role

As a People Partner within the Human Resources department, you will serve as an operational HR partner to business units, providing comprehensive HR support and guidance. Your primary focus will be on aligning HR initiatives with business objectives, fostering a positive workplace culture, and supporting the overall wellbeing of employees. The People Partner plays a key role in talent management, employee relations, performance management, and various HR functions.

Key Accountabilities

Talent Management:

  • Support the recruitment process, including collaborating with hiring managers, participating in interviews, and ensuring a positive candidate experience.
  • Contribute to workforce planning, talent acquisition, and onboarding processes.


Employee Relations:

  • Address and resolve employee relations issues, conducting investigations as necessary.
  • Provide guidance to managers on disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, and performance improvement plans.


Performance Management:

  • Facilitate performance management processes, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and development planning.
  • Work with managers to identify training and development needs for individual and team growth.


Employee Engagement:

  • Implement strategies to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with employees to assess morale and gather feedback.


HR Policy Development and Compliance:

  • Develop and update HR policies in compliance with legal requirements and organizational needs.
  • Ensure adherence to HR policies and procedures across the organization.


Benefits and Wellness:

  • Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs.
  • Promote wellness initiatives and programs to support employee well-being.


Change Management:

  • Support organizational change initiatives and assist in managing change processes.
  • Communicate changes effectively to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Analyse HR metrics and trends to provide insights for decision-making.
  • Generate reports related to turnover, demographics, and other HR-related data.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Experience and skills required.
  • Preferably a bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Several years of experience in HR roles, with a focus on HR business partnering.
  • Knowledge of employment law and regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong project management, planning and prioritisation skills.
  • Experience of managing feedback and evaluation activities
  • Discretion, with an understanding of the need for confidentiality at all times
  • Familiarity with business software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Experience of HRIS
