About the role

Our business is growing and with this comes great opportunities for the development of our colleagues. It’s a real cliché, but there is an opening for an exciting but diverse Regional HR Advisor to join our busy team. Reporting into our Senior HR Business Partner, you’ll be partnering our sites in Peterborough and the Midlands with some travel to the Port of Immingham. The role will be a mix of working at our sites and occasional days from home to ensure you have the right balance to remain visible delivering support to our colleagues.

You’ll be partnering our sites in driving forward initiatives including well being of our colleagues and really understanding how our management teams and colleagues’ work. You’ll need to be on hand to assist with any disciplinaries and grievances as well as coaching our line managers to deliver effective resolutions and ensuring they have all the tools they need to be able to operate in the best way possible.

You will be responsible for:

  • To provide high quality HR policy and process support, advice and guidance to stakeholders at all levels within the business.
  • Providing robust advice on specialist and/or generalist HR issues and case management including (but not limited to): Data Subject Access Requests, Disciplinaries, Grievances, Redundancies o TUPE in / out, Capability & Performance, Family Leave, Absence management
  • Attending interviews & supporting managers with the hiring process and fair selection
  • Inductions for new colleagues, supporting managers with onboarding
  • Meaningful MI and statistics for your areas and recommendations to address any trends including absence, performance & turnover concerns
