LOCATION:               Woking, Surrey
SALARY:                   £26,000 per annum
DURATION:6-month temp (with possibility of going permanent)  
HOURS:                      Full Time – 39 hours per week (Mostly Mon-Fri 08:30-17:00 with participation in on-call rota)        

Day-to-day duties:
  • In this role you will work as part of a team and support clients on a day-to-day basis to empower them to resolve their problems to reach positive outcomes.
  • This will be achieved by assisting and encouraging clients to meet their personalised support plans and to access support and related services from local community organisations.
  • Service users are mostly young care leavers, supported in a 14 bed hostel with 30 self contained flats in the community. 
  • You will also carry out housing management activities such as rent collection, risk assessments, tenancy management, reporting maintenance issues, and health and safety checks.
  • You will act as a keyworker to named clients, and support clients to achieve their goals and live as independently as possible, whilst ensuring they are safe and able to manage risks appropriately. 
  • Every day is different in this varied and fulfilling role.
  • If you have relevant experience of working with vulnerable people or have transferable skills, we would like to hear from you. 
Person Specification:
  • Ability to develop non-judgmental professional relationships with clients.
  • The ability to manage your own time, delivering outcomes, meeting deadlines.
  • Computer literacy (Excel, Word, Outlook and the Internet).
  • Experience of working in supported housing is desirable.
