Supported Housing Officer Required 

(Hybrid)

Location:                      South East  (Hybrid) 

Duration:                      Permanent  

Hours:                            37.5 

Pay Rate:                      £31064 Per Annum + Expenses (PAYE) 

The successful candidate will be responsible for: 

  • Manage around 34 supported housing schemes with 130 tenancies in the South East region. 
  • Monitor allocations, sign up new tenants, prepare tenancy agreements and conduct right to rent checks. 
  • Provide intensive housing management support to tenants, explaining tenancy conditions and available services. 
  • Submit and monitor housing benefit claims, address rent arrears, and liaise with Revenue and Benefits team. 
  • Conduct regular visits, audits, inspections, and report repair/maintenance issues. 
  • Support tenants struggling to sustain tenancy by signposting to relevant services (welfare rights, money advice, employment, etc.). 
  • Liaise with statutory, voluntary, and private organizations related to housing and tenant support. 
  • Investigate and deal with breaches of tenancy, serve notices, attend court hearings if required. 

The successful candidate will have: 

  • Experience working in housing with a desire to progress in the sector  
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage their own diary  
  • Knowledge of UK housing Benefit Systems
