Job Type: Temporary to permanent for the right candidate

In this Housing Management Officer opportunity in Birmingham, you will join an organisation whose main purpose Is tackle homelessness In Birmingham and surrounding areas for people between the ages of 16-25 .
- Assessing young people as soon as they enter the service - completing risk assessment and checks on their living situations - checking If they qualify for housing support
- Handling tenancy sign ups and evictions when required - health and safety checks on site
- Calculating service charge / dealing with rent arrears / housing benefits
- Provide appropriate housing advice In line with housing legislation
- Refer and signpost appropriately to relevant services
- To utilise legal advice services to effectively advocate on a young person's behalf
Requirements of a Housing Management Officer
- Proven track record of working within a similar post dealing with supported housing in homelessness
- Efficient with numbers and comfortable to calculate rent payments / service charge
- Holds a Childs and Adults DBS on the update service or issued in the last 12 months
- Comfortable to work evenings / weekends part of an shift rota basis
