An opportunity has arisen for a proactive and experienced individual to join the School of Care & Science.

We are looking for a well-motivated and enthusiastic assessor to join our committed and successful team. The role would be ideal for someone seeking to have a positive effect on the lives and learning experience of our health & social care students.

There is the potential to assess students from Level 2 to Level 5. The successful applicant will need to have the necessary skills to support Further Education learners and be part of a large team thriving in a dynamic learning environment.

The right candidate will be someone with up-to-date industry knowledge in Health & social care and/or and an understanding of the diverse range of students with differing needs in the FE sector.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, flexible and student-centred with the ability to provide pastoral care and be a strong role model for our students.

A relevant degree and/or industry experience is a requirement, and an Assessors qualification is desirable, although full training to obtain this will be provided.

You will be responsible for arranging DBS checks and building on established relationships with local employers whilst creating new employer links. You will liaise with employers and monitor learner progress whilst on placement. This role includes assessing learners in their placement setting and so a driving license and use of a personal car is a requirement of the role. Fuel for miles covered during visits will be reimbursed.

The closing date for applications is Thursday 25th April 2024. This role is for a fixed term period until July 2024
