Your new company
Hays Education, the market leading Education sector recruitment specialists, will be holding career consultations for ECTs from this year's Hope University Primary Education BA (Hons) final year and PGCE cohort, for permanent, long term, and short term supply positions across the Wirral from the end of the summer term and in September.

Hays Education have been supplying teachers to Wirral primary schools for nearly twenty-five years and work with over 65% of Wirral primary schools, many via dedicated partnership agreements. We are the only recruitment agency with two dedicated consultants servicing the Wirral area.

Your new role
You will have the opportunity to work in a variety of primary schools across Wirral, with positions across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 classes, experiencing new and exciting challenges on a regular basis. You will have access to permanent teaching opportunities for September 2024, and will also have the option of undertaking rewarding long-term assignments, where you would get paid an equivalent ECT salary from day one as well as being able to complete terms of your induction. Usually, long-term assignments will come about through maternity cover, sickness cover and interim cover.

We also have opportunities for short-term supply teaching work for the end of the summer term and September. Supply is an excellent opportunity for Early Career Teachers to gain paid experience in a variety of different schools and year groups. Many of our ECTs want to gain more experience before securing a permanent role and supply offers exactly this, as well as allowing you the flexibility of working when you want to.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be in the final stages of your BA (Hons) teaching course with a view to obtaining your QTS in July, or be working towards your PGCE or PGDE, OR an ECT that already has QTS. You will also have determination and flexibility, a positive attitude and the desire to ensure a positive learning experience for the children in your class at all times.

What you'll get in return
You will have access to the widest range of Wirral permanent and long term opportunities, or benefit from working in the largest range of schools available across Wirral on a supply basis, which could lead to long term assignments and future permanent employment.

Supply teaching is a great lifestyle decision, and you will receive a competitive daily rate of pay, while getting valuable teaching experience. You will have the flexibility of being able to choose when you can and can't work, while still receiving a viable income. You will also have access to the Hays Education Online Safeguarding training free of charge, and have a single dedicated consultant for all your employment needs who will be able to offer valuable advice on applications and interview technique.
