The team are looking for an experienced candidate that can work as part of a wider Housing Solutions Service, supporting the Council to address our temporary accommodation (TA) issues and supporting families and singles to move from nightly booked TA accommodation into more suitable and longer-term accommodation.

What we a looking for from you:

  • Exceptional customer care skills that are delivered through a compassionate and empathy focused approach through all contacts with clients and applicants.
  • Experienced in the provision of advice and assistance on homelessness and prevention.
  • Experienced in the encouragement and support that is offered to service-users to seek professional and medical help where appropriate
  • Can work in a 'mindful' way to ensure the customer journey and client experience is the main focus through all contact and work that the team delivers
  • Can work consistently as part of a team, take direction, and understand the essential aspects of working together as one team to achieve the targeted approach to this work
  • Experienced and a comprehensive background working in Homelessness and the legal aspects of this work to include.
  • Housing duty investigations and applications, decisions and duties owed to an applicant in accordance with Part VII Housing Act
  • decisions and investigations - Part 7 of the Housing Act - TA, suitability and s202 reviews of TA offered - Decision, non-priority need decisions, no Interim accommodation letter communication/End of Prevention / Relief Duty letters - process management of all aspects in these areas of homelessness management - S202 Reviews on decisions and suitability - Legal evictions i.e. Section 21 notices, Section 8 notices, Possessions Order's

If you have previous experience in these areas and keen to develop your knowledge further this is a perfect team for you. Management that are willing to help all case managers be the best they can possibly along with a strong hour rate.
