We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Home Tutor to join our team for an immediate start. The ideal candidate will be a Qualified Teacher with experience working as a Home Tutor, particularly with vulnerable young people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support in English and Maths for a Year 11 student working at entry 3 level 1.
- Create engaging and effective learning activities to address individual learning needs.
- Foster a supportive and encouraging learning environment to help the student overcome anxiety, particularly around social issues.
- Prepare the student for a smooth transition into college, ensuring they have the necessary skills and confidence to succeed.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher status and/or extensive experience as a Home Tutor with vulnerable young people.
- Ability to provide support in English and Maths at entry 3 level 1.
- Empathy and understanding of the challenges faced by students with anxiety and social issues.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or the ability to apply for one promptly.
- References to cover the last 2 years of employment.
