Are you an experienced and dedicated HLTA seeking a rewarding opportunity to support and inspire young learners? Our well-respected primary school in Nantwich is seeking a talented HLTA to join our team on a long-term basis, starting immediately.

Position: HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) Location: Nantwich, Cheshire Contract: Long-term, immediate start

The Role: As our HLTA, you will play a vital role in supporting our teaching staff and helping to enhance the learning experience of our students. You will work closely with individual pupils, small groups, and whole classes, providing valuable support and assistance in delivering effective teaching and learning. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the educational development and success of our school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting teaching staff in planning and delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
  • Working with individuals or small groups of students to reinforce learning objectives
  • Providing additional support for students with special educational needs or those requiring extra assistance
  • Promoting positive behavior management strategies and maintaining a safe learning environment
  • Assisting in the assessment and tracking of student progress
  • Collaborating with teachers and colleagues to develop and implement effective learning strategies
  • Building positive relationships with students, parents, and caregivers

Requirements:

  • HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
  • Previous experience as an HLTA in a primary school setting
  • A solid understanding of the primary school curriculum
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to engage and motivate students
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively
