HLTA Classroom Jobs

Tick Education are looking for candidates with HLTA qualification, who would be interested in working as a classroom lead as well as a teaching assistant in our client schools.

We would love to see more HLTAs (or level 4 or higher qualified teaching assistants) join us here at Tick, to work both as assistants and as classroom leaders when the school requires them.

Working via ourselves is beneficial as you can work flexibly on your own schedule, enjoy working in a variety of schools around Luton, get a foot in the door with schools (building relationships) to pursue more permanent opportunities when they arise, and build your experience in the classroom!

Requirements for HLTA Classroom jobs in Luton and Dunstable:

  • To be a qualified HLTA - this requires a level 4 or higher TA certification
  • To have experience in the last 5 years, working with children, either 1-2-1 or in group settings, ideally classroom based
  • To be flexible and seeking either part time or full time work
  • Be passionate about children’s education - always putting their needs first and being able to emphasise with them and understand their needs

Desirables:

  • To be a driver with a vehicle - to access schools promptly and be able to reach all our client schools easily
  • To be open to work in different schools across a week, along with openness to work more long-term, if any schools needed this.
  • To be based in Luton or surrounding areas
  • To have primary school experience, leading classes
