This position is due to start as soon as possible with a pay rate of £23-£25 per hour.
* A minimum of 3 years post registration experience
* Current Registration as Biomedical Scientist with Health Professions Council
* BSc Biomedical Sciences or equivalent.
* To carry out investigations on samples of tissue to diagnose disease and monitor the treatment of patients.
* To work as part of a team of Biomedical Scientists, Consultant Histopathologists and support staff to deliver, within budget, a patient-orientated medical laboratory service to contribute to efficient and effective care.
The successful candidate must be HCPC registered and have experience with histology techniques such as embedding, sectioning, staining, and reporting of histology specimens. They must also be familiar with the use of a range of laboratory equipment and be able to troubleshoot and maintain them as required.
