Overview:
Are you a skilled Biomedical Scientist seeking a rewarding role? Warrington and Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated Band 5 Biomedical Scientist to join their Histopathology Department at Warrington Hospital.
Main Duties:
- Perform routine and specialized analyses accurately and efficiently, both independently and collaboratively.
- Analyze tissue samples to identify abnormalities or diseases under the microscope.
- Prepare tissue samples for testing using various laboratory techniques.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment effectively, troubleshooting technical faults as needed.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to discuss patient cases and findings.
- Maintain accurate records of test results and patient information.
- Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations and quality assurance standards.
Requirements:
- HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist.
- Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Science or a related field.
- Previous experience working in a histopathology laboratory preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in laboratory work.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
