Job Description:

We are currently seeking a meticulous Highways Contracts Inspector to join our team for a 3-month assignment in the North Northamptonshire region. In this role, you will collaborate with our Highway Service Manager to oversee the effective implementation of our Term Services Contract. Your responsibilities will include conducting sample checks of highway maintenance work carried out by our contracted services provider.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct sample checks to ensure compliance with quoted works and quality standards.
• Verify the implementation of safe working practices and appropriate Traffic Management measures.
• Report any identified defects on the network to the appropriate channels.
• Collaborate with the Highway Service Manager to address any issues or concerns arising during inspections.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience in highways maintenance or inspection.
• Highways qualification desired but not mandatory; relevant experience will be considered.
• Meticulous attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies in work quality.
• Strong communication skills to effectively report findings and collaborate with team members.
