Do you have a passion for education? Are you an experienced higher level teaching assistant or a graduate looking for your next role within a mainstream school?

Long Term Teachers are working with a fantastic academy based in Swindon, who are looking for an enthusiastic HLTA to join their hard working, passionate team . Commencing in September 2024, the role will be working Monday to Friday, term time only, between the hours of 8:30am - 3:30pm.

Your main duties will include:

  • Managing the classroom

  • Running activities

  • Leading 1:1 and small group interventions

  • Supporting students of all abilities, including those with SEN

  • Report writing and liaising with SLT on students progress

About you:

- Experience working with children, particularly toddlers

- Knowledge of special education practices and strategies

- Ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, and colleagues

- Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with students with diverse learning needs

- Strong organizational skills to assist with lesson planning and classroom management
