Milk Education are partnered with a Special school in Leeds who have asked for a HLTA. The school prides itself in diversity and the wellbeing of their students.

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), you will work closely with teachers to support the delivery of high-quality education to students. Your primary responsibilities will include:

Job Duties of a HLTA:

• Assisting with planning and preparing engaging lessons
• Supporting individual and small groups of students in their learning
• Providing feedback to teachers on student progress
• Assisting with classroom management and behaviour support
• Supervising students during lessons and break times

Required Qualifications:

• Recognised HLTA qualification
• Enhanced DBS check

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills of HLTA:

• Experience working in a classroom setting
• Experience working with SEND children
• Strong behaviour management skills
• Good understanding of the national curriculum
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills in relation to those with SEN
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

• First Aid certification
• Additional relevant teaching assistant qualifications

Working Conditions:

• Temporary position with Full-Time hours
