Our client is seeking a skilled Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) Technician and PSV Technician to join our dynamic team. The role involves conducting repairs in adherence to safe roadside working practices, with duties potentially taking place on-site, at the roadside, or at customer premises. The successful candidate will demonstrate a positive demeanour, strong teamwork abilities, and an NVQ level 3 qualification.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform repairs following safe roadside procedures.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Maintain a positive and customer-focused attitude.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Always provide exceptional customer service.
  • You'll be responsible for fast and accurate diagnoses using diagnostic tools and for choosing the right repair techniques.
  • Work independently to maintain and repair vehicles and components.
  • Carry out a range of inspections (MOT, tacho, etc.).
  • Provide support and daily mentoring for less experienced technicians.
  • Carry out final checks on work that has been completed.

Requirements:

  • NVQ level 3 qualification or equivalent
  • Valid driving license (HGV preferred but not essential).
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in various locations.
  • Commitment to safety and quality standards.
  • A broad vehicle-related technical knowledge
  • An extensive experience in carrying out repairs and maintenance on trucks, components, and associated vehicles.
  • Familiarisation with developments in the automotive industry.
