Futures are working with an industry leading manufacturer who are going through a strong period of growth and are looking to grow their team with an experience HGV Service Engineer. This is a great opportunity to get involved with some cutting edge automotive technology as part of an ambitious business. What we need is an engineer who has well rounded skills (mechanical and electrical) when it comes to servicing heavy vehicles, someone who happy to travel as part of their role and the ability to work autonomously. Training will be provided, where needed, to bring you up to speed on the product.

HGV Service Engineer - Role and Responsibilities - Service Engineer / Mechanic / Fitter / Vehicle Technician

* Attend breakdowns to diagnose and repair faults when possible
* Attend customer sites to carry out maintenance on vehicles
* Removal and refit of hardware both on site and in house
* Fault finding and repairs on a range of heavy vehicles
* Upkeep of all associated documentation

HGV Service Engineer - Skills and Abilities - Service Engineer / Mechanic / Fitter / Vehicle Technician

*Experience of fault finding on mechanical and electrical systems
*Experience servicing a range of HGV
*A good level of vehicle and bench fitting skills
*Knowledge and understanding of vehicle wiring systems
*Apprentice trained or time served engineer
*Accurate report writing
*MS Word and Excel competent
*Ability to work safely alone and as part of a team
*Customer facing skills
