SPR are thrilled to be collaborating with a road construction client to appoint a HGV Parts Procurement Manager.

Our client is a market leader in road construction and resurfacing, and this is your opportunity to join their growing team!

Working Instructions:
  • Full Time
  • Permanent
  • Office-based in Wolverhampton
  • Salaried up to £40,000 per annum
Desirable Qualities of the HGV Parts Procurement Manager:
  • Technical Expertise: understanding of engine mechanics, transmissions, electrical systems, hydraulics and other vehicle components
  • Safety Focus: commitment to ensuring the fleet complies with safety regulations and best practices
  • Organisational Skills: to manage parts inventory.
Key Duties of the HGV Parts Procurement Manager:
  • To negotiate and uphold favourable pricing terms and delivery schedules with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement
  • To encourage a culture of continuous improvement within the maintenance team, gathering feedback from team members and seek ways to streamline processes, enhance efficiency and reduce maintenance costs
  • To administer records relating to purchase orders, invoices, delivery notes and supplier agreements
  • To generate reports to track parts usage and sales, to forecast spend and sales trends
  • To collaborate with team members to make decisions regarding repairs, parts replacements and maintenance priorities
  • To manage equipment and parts inventory
  • To identify and source reputable suppliers and vendors for HGV parts and accessories
  • To encourage the adoption of innovative solutions that can enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the maintenance process
  • To partake in other duties reasonably required as part of the role
