The role

We are looking for an interim Head of Service, Performance and Business Support to further develop and embed the client's approach to performance across Children and Young People's Services.

You will be an experienced leader who will play a critical role in leading the performance framework for Children and Young People's Services and the Safeguarding Children's Partnership.

You will be well versed in understanding performance, data and intelligence and using this to improve outcomes for vulnerable children and young people.

You will be an experienced collaborator who can effectively work with colleagues to implement a culture of performance management at all levels contributing to strategic and resource planning for the future.

As Head of Service you will have a lead role within the Senior Management Team on inspection readiness, turning performance into insight and developing our Self Evaluation process.

Knowledge and experience of inspection frameworks for Children and Young People's services, national indicators and data sets is an essential requirement of the role as is knowledge and experience of outcome based accountability or similar methodologies and the implementation in practice. Herefordshire is on a journey and we would like you to be lead in our next chapter.
