Health & Wellbeing Partner
We are currently partnering with a large public sector organisation in Birmingham, who are recruiting for a Health & Wellbeing Partner to join their growing team on a permanent basis.
This is a full-time position with a salary of circa £45,000, offering 2 days per week home working, and the start date is subject to notice.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Providing specialist advice and support to managers and staff on all aspects of health and wellbeing, including health and wellbeing policies and incentives, managing change where health and wellbeing may be affected and mental health
- Managing the occupational health service and relationships with any Health and Wellbeing suppliers
- Developing, promoting and implementing sound, efficient and effective health and wellbeing practices in line with organisational values and strategic aims, to drive high performance and enhance employee engagement
- Influencing, coaching and advising managers, recommending solutions which support business aims and enabling managers to make confident, appropriate decisions and take action to achieve their objectives and support their teams
- Supporting the HR business team to build the capacity of managers to deal effectively with health and wellbeing issues related issues in accordance with policy and legislation
- Leading various project work, such as the development and retention of the Workplace Wellbeing Charter, campaigns to raise awareness of Health and wellbeing issues and Mental Health First Aider training
Experience required:
- Experience of dealing with a variety of health and wellbeing issues
- Experience of researching and developing HR, health and wellbeing policies and procedures, conducting equality impact assessments and monitoring the implementation of policies
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
- Effective influencing and coaching skills with the ability to shape sound and balanced solutions to business focused people issues
- Exceptional organisational skills and a proven ability to work under pressure whilst ensuring accuracy, quality and attention to detail at all times
- Ability to design and deliver presentations and training interventions to a wide variety of audiences
