We're currently seeking a Health & Safety Trainer to join our client’s team. Join a UK-based health and safety consultancy offering a range of services such as training, consultancy, and support for businesses. They provide tailored solutions to meet regulatory requirements and ensure workplace safety. With expertise in various industries, they assist clients in managing risks and improving safety practices.

What You Can Expect

  • Work Type - Permanent
  • Location - Basedfrom home- Travel to clientsites (Bedfordshire and London areas)
  • Salary - £40k - £50k
  • Industry - Construction

Main Responsibilities as a Health & Safety Trainer

  • Identify opportunities to promote additional training courses or THSP services.
  • Develop, review, and enhance training courses using diverse teaching methodologies.
  • Provide training across various safety domains.
  • Deliver training sessions using various teaching techniques, including online delivery.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness and impact of delivered training.
  • Ensure training materials are current with standards, recent industry data, legislation, and regulations.
  • Complete internal reports and documentation within specified deadlines.
  • Fulfil any other reasonable tasks assigned by the Line Manager or Director.

Experience & Skills Required

  • CITBSiteSafetyPlus -SMSTS,SSSTSandHAS
  • NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Safety and Health AET / PTTLS / Teaching Certificate or equivalent

To deliver any of the Site Safety Plus suite of courses, trainers must hold at least one of the following qualifications:

  • NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Safety and Health
  • NVQ/SVQ Level 5 in Occupational Safety and Health
  • Health and Safety degree
  • NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health Part 2, NEBOSH Units A, B, C and D
  • Diploma Safety Management Level 6.

Desirable:

  • IOSH Safety for Executives and Directors (SED)
  • Asbestos Awareness / Abrasive Wheels / Harnesses / Working at Height / Fire Marshal / CAT and Genny / Temporary Works Awareness
  • NEBOSH General and Construction
