We have a fantastic opportunity for a Health, Safety and Environment Program Specialist to join our team. Based from our offices in Basingstoke, Bristol or Dorset, you'll combine home and office working to ensure a positive work / life balance.

The Role

This is a key role that will develop and design HSE engagement programs and initiatives, as identified through HSE management system review, risk assessment and incident investigation. The role will include planning and delivering engagement programs and initiatives, whilst collaborating with key stakeholders to enable successful deployment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the identification of new HSE engagement programs and initiatives based on output from HSE management review, risk assessment, assurance reviews, internal audits, incident investigations and external benchmarking
  • Defining the desired outcomes and learning objectives of HSE engagement programs, ensuring these factors are integrated into the design criteria
  • Leading the design of key HSE engagement programs and initiatives aligned to SNG's ‘Everyone Safe & Well' vision and the occupational HSE risk control matrix
  • Creating engagement materials, including presentations, digital assets, guides, physical assets, videos, toolkits, and templates, in collaboration with key stakeholders
  • Ensuring HSE engagement program content and delivery methodology reflects SNG's commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion, and is accessible across all learning styles
  • Leading and facilitating the delivery of HSE engagement programs and initiatives, through face to face and online engagement sessions and workshops

What we're looking for

You should have previous experience in designing HSE engagement programs, as well as facilitating HSE workshops and training sessions. You'll also have:

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Proven ability to adapt personal style to reach and engage with different levels/types of audience
  • Strong IT skills, including MS Office suite
  • NEBOSH National Diploma Level 5-6 is desirable but not essential
  • Member of IOSH or equivalent would be preferred but is not essential
