Role: Senior Health & Safety Advisor

Location: Cambridge

Contract: 6 Month FTC + the option to go permanent

The organiastion you will be joining provides the most technically advanced cranes, hoist equipment, accommodation and services to the construction industry. You will be a part of a team that challenges industry partners to work collaboratively in order to achieve engineered safety.

Please note for this role they're looking for experience on Large Infrastructure projects and Plant Hire would be beneficial!

The Role:

  • To provide local advice and support necessary to assist managers and staff to fulfill their safety responsibilities to the high standards demanded by the Business.
  • To facilitate and coach operational teams on the respective engagement tools, which allow the team to engage effectively with the workforce.
  • To carry out relevant H&S assurance activities, providing confidence to the business that operational effectiveness of all relevant processes is being delivered.

You will be integral in ensuring that the basics are delivered on-site, in addition to identifying areas for improvement. You will be a proactive thinker being visible operationally and improving workforce engagement in Health & Safety.

Must Have:

  • NEBOSH general or construction certificate
  • A full UK driving license
  • Experience on large infrastructure projects
  • Plant hire experience
  • Experience working in the construction industry
