Health and Social Care Lecturer
  • Job Type: Part-Time/Full-Time (Temporary/Permanent)

  • Rate: £25 - £47 per hour (including holiday pay)

We are on the lookout for a Health and Social Care Lecturer to join our team, delivering high-quality education to learners across various settings. This role is suitable for industry specialists seeking a new career path or experienced educators looking to make an impact in the further education sector.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Delivering lectures and tutorials in health and social care subjects.
  • Preparing and grading assignments, exams, and other assessments.
  • Supporting students in their learning and development.
  • Managing classroom dynamics and addressing challenging behaviour.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop curriculum and teaching materials.
  • Keeping up-to-date with developments in the subject area and education sector.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Teaching qualification (e.g., AET, PTLLS, PGCE, Certificate in Education).
  • Assessors’ qualification (e.g., A1, D33/D34, CAVA, TAQA, IQA) or willingness to work towards one.
  • Level 3 or equivalent qualification in the subject area of health and social care.
  • Experience working with 16-19-year-olds in an educational or apprenticeship setting.
  • Level 2 or equivalent in English and Maths.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
