Health and Safety Advisor

Annual Salary: £30,000 - £45,000pa (Depending on experience)
Location: Kent
Job Type: Full-time

We are seeking a dedicated Health and Safety Advisor to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment and must be capable of delivering comprehensive training to staff. This role is essential in maintaining our commitment to health and safety standards on all our projects.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to ensure compliance with health and safety legislation.
  • Develop and implement health and safety plans and policies for construction sites.
  • Deliver effective health and safety training to staff and ensure that all personnel are aware of their responsibilities.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents to determine causes and find ways to prevent future occurrences.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure all reporting is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Provide advice and guidance to the construction team on health and safety matters.
  • Keep up to date with new legislation and maintain a working knowledge of all Health and Safety Executive (HSE) legislation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Health and Safety Advisor within the construction industry.
  • NEBOSH or IOSH certification is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices in the construction sector.
  • Experience in delivering health and safety training.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
